Luis Antonio Sánchez Armijos SDB (born July 27, 1943 in Olmedo , Ecuador ) is Bishop Emeritus of Machala .

Life

Luis Antonio Sánchez Armijos entered the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and received on 31 January 1975, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tulcán on June 15, 2002 . The Archbishop of Quito , Antonio Cardinal González Zumárraga , donated him episcopal ordination on July 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Ibarra , Antonio Arregui , and the Bishop of Ambato , Germán Trajano Pavón Puente . On February 22, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Machala . The inauguration took place on May 1st of the same year.
