Germán Trajano Pavón Puente

Germán Trajano Pavón Puente (born October 28, 1936 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian clergyman and emeritus bishop of Ambato .

Life

Germán Trajano Pavón Puente was ordained a priest on June 29, 1960 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tulcán on January 28, 1989 . The Archbishop of Quito , Antonio José González Zumárraga , donated him episcopal ordination on February 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Luigi Conti , Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador , and Bernardino Carlos Guillermo Honorato Echeverría Ruiz OFM , Archbishop of Guayaquil .

On April 19, 2001 he was appointed Bishop of Ambato . On January 20, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
