Luis Guillermo de Perinat y Elío (born October 27, 1923 in Madrid ) is a Spanish diplomat and politician .

Life

His mother was Ana de Elío y Gaztelu, the Marquesa de Campo Real , Baronesa de Perinat Baronesa Expelta, condesa vidua de la Cimera y de Goyeneche, († October 25, 1963 in Lausanne) bought the Villa Roche-Ronda on the Cuesta in 1925 del Faro . After his father Luis Perinat y Terry died, his mother married Valentín Menéndez y San Juan, VI. conde de la Cimera y VI. conde de Goyeneche, mayordomo de su Majestad, Caballero de la Orden de Calatrava y Maestrante de Zaragoza. His sister Elia Ana de Perinat y Elío died on July 19, 1938 in Switzerland in a mountain accident. He married Blanca Escrivá de Romani y Morenes, 3ª marquesa de Alginet. Her children are Jaime Perinat y Escrivá de Romaní, 4th marqués de Alginet, Luis Guillermo Perinat y Escrivá de Romaní, Conde de Casal * May 24, 1956 and Clara Carvajal y Argüelles.

Under Foreign Minister Marcelino Oreja Aguirre , Perinat was Ambassador to the Court of St James’s from 1976 to 1981 , when the Spanish fishing boats Argonte and Decampo were landed in British waters on April 5, 1977 as part of an EEC fishery quota .

In 1983 he was the presidential candidate of the AP-PDP of the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid . He was named by the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid on June 13, 1983 for the second legislative period for the Senate and sworn to the constitution on June 21, 1983. He belonged to the parliamentary group: Grupo Parlamentario POPULAR EN EL SENADO (GPP) and was a member of the Alianza Popular .

He was on the Foreign Affairs Committee. From June 14, 1984 to April 23, 1986 he was Vice Chairman of the Senate and from September 27, 1983 to June 14, 1986 he was Speaker of the Senate.

From September 27, 1983 to April 23, 1986 he was spokesman for the Comision de autonomias y administcion territorial . He was also a senator in the third term and was sworn to the constitution on July 15, 1986. From September 16, 1986 to July 6, 1987, he was spokesman for the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and from September 10, 1986 to July 6, 1987, he was spokesman for the joint commission for the European Economic Community. On July 6, 1987, he resigned as a senator.

In the fourth legislature he had a mandate from Murcia for the parliament of the Asambleas Legislativas de las Comunidades Autónomas of Madrid, in its first legislative period from 1983 to 1987.

He was with the State Department, Head of North America and Atlantic Affairs. From March 28, 1981 to 1983, Perinat was the Spanish ambassador to the Soviet Union .

As a member of the European Parliament , he was Vice-President of the Parliament's Office from January 21, 1987 to July 5, 1987, from October 6, 1986 to July 5, 1987 one of the Deputy Chairmen of the European Democrats and from July 6, 1987 to July 24, 1987 July 1989 Member of the European Democratic Group .

In 1992 he was inducted into the Order of Malta. Perinat is the bearer of the Order of Constantine .
