Luis Jesús Weckmann Muñoz

Luis Jesús Weckmann Muñoz (* 1938 in Ciudad Lerdo , Durango ) is a former Mexican ambassador .

Life

Luis Jesús Weckmann Muñoz studied law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), the University of California, Berkeley , the University of Paris and was awarded a Dr. phil is doing his doctorate. He taught at the UNAM, the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia (ENAH), the Colegio de México and the Universidad de las Américas .

He was Chargé d'affaires at the Mexican Embassy in Czechoslovakia and Secretary General and Chargé d'Affaires of the Council of Mexico at UNESCO.

Muñoz was the Minister's Plenipotentiary and Chargé d'affaires at the Mexican embassies in Paris, Tel Aviv and Vienna, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Iran and Cyprus.

On February 19, 1980, he voted in the United Nations Security Council on whether St. Vincent and the Grenadines would become a member of the United Nations.
