José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel (* 1925 in Mexico City , † June 16, 1989 in Santo Domingo ) was a Mexican ambassador .

Life

José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel was a son of the anthropologist Ignacio Bernal y García Pimentel . José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel was one of the first Mexican ambassadors in Dakar and was appointed ambassador to the colonels in Athens under Dimitrios Ioannidis by Luis Echeverría Álvarez on August 16, 1974 . José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel took office in Athens on October 2, 1974 . On October 4, 1974, the government appointed Luis Echeverría Álvarez , José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel as ambassador in the Carnation Revolution in Lisbon.

On July 14, 1980, José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel was appointed to the government of Ferdinand Marcos by the José López Portillo government . His official seat was Manila , from where he was also accredited with the government of Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore .

According to the protocol of the Mexican Foreign Ministry, José Joaquín Bernal y García Pimentel died on June 16, 1989 in Santo Domingo.
