Luis Molina Bedoya (born April 30, 1819 in Guatemala City , † April 22, 1873 in Antigua Guatemala ) was a Guatemalan foreign minister and Central American diplomat.

Life

Luis Molina Bedoya was the son of María Dolores Bedoya and Pedro José Antonio Molina Mazariegos . On February 21, 1837 he became a Bachelor of Philosophy and on August 13, 1838 Bachelor of Laws he Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala . In 1844 he was admitted to the bar . On August 15, 1848 he was for Chimaltenango (Guatemala) in the Constituent Assembly of Guatemala. From September 20 to December 21, 1848 he was Foreign Minister in the cabinet of Juan Antonio Martínez .

When José Rafael Carrera Turcios regained power in Guatemala on August 7, 1949 , Bedoya migrated to Costa Rica with some friends .

From 1855 to 1866 he was Envoy Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire of Honduras and Costa Rica in Washington, DC He informed Juan Rafael Mora Porras of the plans of William Walker .

From 1861 to 1867 he was envoy to the government of Tomás Martínez Guerrero ( León (Nicaragua) ) in Washington, DC
