Luise Niedermaier

Luise Niedermaier (born April 20, 1908 in Munich ; † July 15, 1997 ) was a German painter .

Life

Luise Niedermaier was born in Munich in 1908, the father came from Dietfurt an der Altmühl , the mother from Lower Bavaria . The family always lived in Munich to the right of the Isar, most recently Tegernseerlandstr. 30, 2nd floor.

From 1942 onwards, Luise Niedermaier attended the drawing class of Adolf Schinnerer (1876–1949) and the painting class of Julius Hess (1876–1957) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and was with Karoline Wittmann (1913–1978) and Gabriele Thiersch (1920 –2000) friends. In the 1950s, Luise Niedermaier often went with Karoline Wittmann to the zoo to draw or to draw landscapes in the Munich area or to an evening act with Max Mayrshofer at the Munich Academy.

After the retirement of Professors Adolf Schinnerer and Julius Hess in 1946, Niedermaier switched to the painting class of Hans Gött (1883–1974), where Luise Niedermaier a. a. Heidy Stangenberg-Merck and Wendelin Schied met.

Luise Niedermaier died on July 15, 1997 in Munich and was buried in her parents' grave in the Perlach cemetery.

She was a member of the Neue Münchener Künstlergenossenschaft (NMKG).
