The Luisenforum is a shopping center in the Hessian capital Wiesbaden , which opened in September 2008 in a central location. With around 20,000 m² of retail space, it is one of the largest inner-city shopping centers in Hessen.

development

At the end of October 2005, the partial demolition of the Karstadt store, which had been vacant since 2003, began. The old car park on Schwalbacher Strasse was rebuilt and was to be expanded from 520 to 800 parking spaces. The footbridge from the parking garage to the shopping center across Schwalbacher Strasse is now almost four times as wide. The completion of the building section on Kirchgasse was delayed by a year. The reason given was the restructuring of the Karstadt Group. The sales area comprises 20,000 square meters for 65 shops and 12,000 square meters for offices. The ESWE high-rise building on Rheinstrasse , which has also been converted, is part of the overall project . Karstadt-Immobilien invested around 90 million euros in the project, but handed over the rental to the operating company Mfi . The center is now operated by Omega Immobilien.

shops

Over 50 retail stores , restaurants and a fresh market area are spread over four levels. The shopping center consists of two parts of the building, which are connected by a glass bridge over the separating Schwalbacher Straße. The part of the building on Kirchgasse is a four-story building that is used exclusively for shops. The part on Schwalbacher Straße / Dotzheimer Straße houses medical practices , offices , a large gastronomic area on the ground floor and the Wiesbaden City Office. The connecting bridge is also used for catering.

Connection

The connection to the local public transport is guaranteed via the directly adjacent bus transfer stop Schwalbacher Straße / Luisen Forum , from which most city and regional bus routes depart.

There are around 800 parking spaces available for cars in the multi-storey car park, which can be reached via a pedestrian bridge.
