Luk Piyes
Haluk "Luk" Piyes (born March 30, 1975 in Cologne ) is a German-Turkish actor , director , sociologist and filmmaker.
Life
His family comes from Kırşehir in Turkey . At the age of 7, Piyes started boxing and eventually made it to German youth champion. He started to study law, but worked as a volunteer street worker . Together with the Niehler Wache in Cologne, he founded the "Midnight Foot- and Basketball" initiative.
Piyes won the "Face of the Year" competition in 1995, worked as a presenter and moved a. a. for Gaultier on the catwalk. He has been an actor since 1995. Since studying at a directing and scriptwriting school in Los Angeles , he has had a second residence there in addition to Cologne . In Lars Becker's cult film Kanak Attack , he played the proud "Kanak" Ertan Ongun, and was then celebrated as the discovery of the year 2000.
In recent years, Piyes has also played more and more in Turkish productions, for example a boxer in the television series Pusat by Osman Sinav in 2007 . In 2008 Piyes shot his first feature film as a director.
