Luka Koprivšek

Luka Koprivšek (* 1940 or 1941 ; † October 29, 2018 in Ljubljana ) was a Slovenian ski jumping trainer .

In the 1970s, Koprivšek was the first professional ski jumping trainer for SSK Ilirija in Ljubljana . Later he was assistant coach and head coach of the Slovenian (then Yugoslavian) national ski jumping team. He trained among others Primož Ulaga , Miran Tepeš , Vasja Bajc and Matjaž Debelak . During Koprivšek's time as head coach, the latter won the bronze medal in the individual competition on the large hill at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , and the team also won silver in the team competition. In 1991 Franci Petek became world champion on the large hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Predazzo .

In addition, Koprivšek was head coach of the Slovenian national team in the Nordic combined for some time .

Koprivšek died after a serious illness at the age of 77 in Ljubljana.
