Luka Marković (born April 27, 1993 in Zagreb ) is a former Croatian ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Dukla Trenčín in the Slovakian extra league .

Career

Luka Marković began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the MHK Dubnica , for whom he played in the Slovak U-18 league. In 2010 the defensive player moved within Slovakia to HC Dukla Trenčín , for whom he initially also played in youth leagues. In the 2012/13 season he made his debut in the Extraliga . In February 2014 he moved to the German league club EC Peiting , where he ended the season. He then moved back to Trenčín and joined the local gladiators from the European University Hockey League , where his career ended in 2015 at the age of just 22.

International

For Croatia , Marković took part in the junior division of the U18 World Cup in 2009 in Division II and the Division I tournaments of the U20 World Junior Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 .

He made his debut in the Croatian men's national team at the Division II World Championships in 2012 . A year later , he and his team were promoted to Division I by winning their home tournament in Zagreb. There he played at the 2014 World Cup .
