Lukas Gnam (born March 9, 1991 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian football referee . He is a member of the Lower Austrian Football Association and the Lower Austrian Referees College. Since the 2018/19 season he has also been a referee in the Austrian 2nd division .

Career

His career began with the completion of the referee examination in 2008. Only five years later, on March 23, 2013, he made his debut in the Lower Austrian regional league , Austria's fourth highest division, in the match between SC Mannsdorf and SV Waidhofen / Thaya (4: 2 ). He made the next step on the career ladder on August 28, 2015 with his first game management in the Regionalliga Ost at the match between FK Austria Wien Amateure and SC Neusiedl am See (1: 1).

After another three years in amateur football , he led his first game in Austrian professional football on August 10, 2018 with the game FC Liefering against Young Violets Austria Wien (3-0) . In that game he decided on a penalty and needed a yellow card .
