Lukas Kummer (born August 7, 1985 ) is a Swiss skeleton pilot .

Lukas Kummer's track coaches are Gregor Stähli and Matthias Biedermann . His athletic trainer is Cédric Tamani . He made his international debut in 2007 in Igls in the European Skeleton Cup , where he was 48th out of 54 participants. In December 2008 he achieved his first result in the top ten in Igls, finishing ninth. In February 2009, Kummer came third at the St. Moritz International Prize . After a fifth place at the Swiss Championships 2010 in St. Moritz, Kummer came to Lake Placid for his first race in the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup and finished 24. Three races later he achieved his best position in the racing series with 15th place in Park City . In the post-Olympic season 2010/11, the Swiss moved up to the Swiss Skeleton World Cup team and started the season in Whistler for his first race, which he finished 23rd. In his second World Cup race in Calgary he reached 15th place.
