Luke Newberry (born February 19, 1990 in Exeter ) is a British actor.

Life

After graduating from Exeter College , Newberry studied at the renowned drama school Bristol Old Vic Theater School , from which he graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree.

Having already expressed as a child's desire to become an actor, Newberry played at the age of eleven years in the musical The Secret Garden , the role of Colin Craven before 2002 in the film The Heart of Me alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Paul Bettany could be seen. In 2010 it was announced that Newberry had been cast for the role of Teddy Lupine in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 , but his role was cut from the final version of the film. Newberry appeared in the BBC series Sherlock in 2012 , where he played a young cop. In 2013, he played the lead role of Kieren Walker in the British drama series In the Fleshwhich earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor.

Newberry has two older sisters and lives in London.
