Lutz Braun (born June 3, 1966 in Herzogenaurach ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Braun started playing soccer at FC Herzogenaurach at the age of 10 . There he went through all the youth departments. Under coach Dieter Nüssing he made the leap into the national league team of the club, to which he belonged until 1988. For the 1988/89 season he moved to Viktoria Aschaffenburg . Viktoria played in the 2nd Bundesliga , at the end of the season Braun and his teammates took 18th place in the table, which meant relegation to the major league. Braun continued to play for Viktoria until he moved to SpVgg Unterhaching in Munich for the 1992/93 season. With Unterhachingen he was relegated from the 2nd division in the first year and moved on to TSV 1860 Munich . The 60s were looked after by coach Werner Lorant and had just been promoted to the second division. Braun became a regular player and played all 38 games of the season. At the end of the season, he celebrated the direct march into the Bundesliga with the Munich team . In the Bundesliga he made his debut in the upper house of German football on the first matchday of the season, for Braun it was the only appearance in league one. Coach Lorant stopped betting on him. Braun moved to 1. FC Nürnberg in the second half of the season . He made sixteen more games in league two. After half a year he went to Dynamo Dresden . Due to several injuries, he ended his career with Dynamo in 1997.
