Luxia Arrabiosa
The Menhir Luxia Arrabiosa (also called Menhir of Terrazzu) is a menhir in Terrazzu , about 1.0 km south of Villaperuccio , east of the Via Santa Lucia, which connects Terrazzu with Villaperuccio, in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia .
With a height of about 5.0 m, it is the second largest (after the Curru Tundu ) menhir on the island and was probably broken off by a lightning strike.
Nearby are the Domus de Janas of Montessu , some prehistoric rock necropolis, the stalactite cave Grotte Is Zuddas and the Punic necropolis Pani Loriga .
The name Luxia Arrabiosa ("the Fury Lucia") is derived from a legend. In Morgongiori , a small town in the province of Oristano , in the “Area archeologica di Prabanta” there is a complex with a 3.6 m high menhir called “Su Fruccoi de Luxia Arrabiosa”.
