Villaperuccio is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1060 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 13.5 kilometers east-southeast of Carbonia and about 25 kilometers south-southeast of Iglesias on Lago di Monte Prano and the Parco Geominerario Storico ed Ambientale della Sardegna .

The community became independent in 1979. The necropolis of Montessu from pre-Uragan times is known in the municipality .
