Villanovaforru is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 656 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 22.5 kilometers northeast of Villacidro and about eight kilometers north-northwest of Sanluri .
