Domusnovas is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6037 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 21 kilometers northwest of Carbonia and about 10 kilometers east of Iglesias . Domusnovas is located at the Parco Geominerario Storico ed Ambientale della Sardegna .

Strada Statale 130 Iglesiente runs through the municipality from Iglesias towards Cagliari . To the south of the village is the Villamassargia-Domusnovas station at the junction of the Villamassargia – Carbonia railway from the Decimomannu – Iglesias railway .
