Domus de Maria is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1655 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 53 kilometers from Cagliari in the Parco Geominerario Storico ed Ambientale della Sardegna and borders on the municipality of Teulada to the west and the municipality of Pula, which belongs to the metropolitan city of Cagliari , to the east . With the district of Chia (also: Baia di Chia ), the municipality is located on the Mediterranean Sea.
