Narcao is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers east-northeast of Carbonia and about 33.5 kilometers south-southeast of Iglesias at the Parco Geominerario Storico ed Ambientale della Sardegna .
Community partnerships
Narcao maintains an intra-Italian partnership with Bovegno in the province of Brescia and a partnership with the French municipality of Les Rues-des-Vignes in the Nord department .
history
The area was already populated before the nuraghi settled. Finds from the Nuragic period can also be found. In 1853 the area was raised to a municipality.
