Villanovafranca is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1247 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 30.5 kilometers northeast of Villacidro and about twelve kilometers northeast of Sanluri .
