Musei is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1523 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 21 kilometers northeast of Carbonia and about 10.5 kilometers east of Iglesias .

The Strada Statale 130 Iglesiente runs through the municipality from Cagliari to Iglesias. The Musei stop on the Decimomannu – Iglesias railway line has been closed, the nearest station is Villamassargia - Domusnovas at the junction of the Villamassargia – Carbonia railway line from the first line.
