Escalaplano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2122 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 80 kilometers from Cagliari and borders directly on the province of Nuoro . The Flumendosa and its dammed lake limit the municipality in the west and in the northwest.
