Guasila is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2628 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 39 kilometers north-northwest of Cagliari .
The area was settled in the pre-Uraghic, Nuragic, Punic and Roman times, as evidenced by various archaeological remains.
In the Middle Ages it belonged to the Cagliari judiciary . 1258 passed the area for a short time to the Arborea judiciary . In 1295 the judge Mariano II bequeathed the areas of the former Cagliari judiciary to the Republic of Pisa . In 1324 the city passed to the Aragonese ; In 1421 the village was handed over to Giacomo de Besora, along with all the towns of Trexenta , who received the feudal concession in 1434. In 1497 the city was joined to the County of Villasor, fief of Giacomo de Alagón.
The well sanctuary of Gutturu Caddi is located about 6.0 km north of Guasila.
