Gesico is an Italian municipality in the province of Sud Sardegna in the region of Sardinia with 808 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

The municipality is located about 45 km north of Cagliari and covers an area of 25.6 km². The neighboring communities are Escolca , Guamaggiore , Guasila , Mandas , Selegas , Suelli and Villanovafranca .

Gesico is Sardinia's largest snail breeder. The place is one of eleven municipalities in Italy that holds a "sagra della lumaca" (snail fair) every year in October to promote tourism. Since this festival has coincided with the date of the parish fair since it was set up in 1992, clown-like arguments between the mayor and pastor have become a tradition. Don Pretta's bizarre "rock decree" went through the Italian press in 2014.
