The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is a Swiss boarding school in Zuoz in the Upper Engadin . It is located in the upper part of the village in the Surmulins district .
Organization and history
The school leads to international university entrance qualifications . The Swiss Matura (German or German / English or Italian / German), the German Abitur and the international International Baccalaureate held exclusively in English are offered .
The school was founded in 1904 by Engadin people as a mountain air institute for “ailing boys” whose parents stayed in St. Moritz on vacation so that they did not miss any subject matter. It soon developed into a full-fledged high school for boys and later also for girls, which achieved an international reputation. The school trains around 200 boarding students and 100 external students from the region. The students are between 12 and 18 years old. It is known for its internationality and the broad sports program; the students come from over thirty nations.
theatre
A school theater has existed since 2006. The German-speaking Shakespeare Company interprets u. a. Plays by William Shakespeare . The English Theater Company develops its own plays from scratch and all of this in English. In December 2011, the first theater in the Engadine , the Zuoz Globe , was opened.
Zuoz Club
The Zuoz Club is the alumni organization of the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz.

Well-known graduates include Hans Adam II von Liechtenstein , Anton Wolfgang Graf von Faber-Castell , Götz George , Ferdinand Piëch , Thomas Gold , André Gorz , Karlheinz Böhm , Arndt von Bohlen and Halbach , Johannes Rapp and Ulrich Körner .
