Lycium arochae is a plant type from the genus of Lycium ( Lycium ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

Lycium arochae is a branched shrub that grows to a height of 0.2 to 1.5 m and is studded with spines . The leaves are frosted, slightly succulent and hairless or densely hairy. The leaves reach a length of 3 to 35 mm and a width of 1 to 8 mm.
The flowers are five-fold and hermaphroditic. The calyx is cup-shaped and hairless. The calyx tube is 1 to 1.6 mm long and is covered with 0.5 to 0.6 mm long calyx lobes. The crown is egg-shaped and purple in color. The corolla length is up to 7 mm long, the corolla lobes up to 2 mm. The stamens are sparsely hairy where they are fused with the crown, otherwise hairless.
The fruit is an orange-red, egg-shaped or elliptical berry that grows 5 to 8 mm long and contains a large number of seeds .
Occurrence
The species is widespread in North America and occurs there in the Mexican state of Coahuila .
