Lycium cylindricum is a plant type from the genus of Lycium ( Lycium ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).
description
Lycium cylindricum is an upright shrub . Its branches are bent inwards and have 1 to 3 cm long spines. The leaves stand individually or in groups of two to three on short shoots. The leaf blade is lanceolate and 15 to 35 mm long and 3 to 6 mm wide.
The inflorescences consist of a single or two hermaphroditic flowers that stand in groups together with the leaves. The calyx is bell-shaped, the calyx tube 3 to 4 mm long and provided with 3 mm long calyx tips. The crown is cylindrical in shape, the corolla tube is 5 to 6 mm long, the corolla lobes are 4 mm long. The stamens are hairy tomentose.
The fruit is a red or orange-yellow, egg-shaped berry that contains few seeds .
Occurrence
The species is found in the Chinese Autonomous Region of Xinjiang .
