Lycklama à Nijeholt
Lycklama à Nijeholt , also called Lycklama à Nyeholt , Lyclama van Nyeholt or Lijcklama à Nijeholt , is the name of a Dutch noble family that descended from Friesland .
The addition to the name of the sex was derived from the “Friesburg” fixed house in Nijeholtpade (located in today's municipality of Weststellingwerf ). The regular owner was Lyckle Eables, he lived in Steenwijk at the beginning of the 16th century . The Lycklama à Nijeholt family provided a number of diverse Grietmanns , mainly in West- and Ooststellingwerf . More recently, the family has also included some Dutch politicians. The Lycklama à Nijeholt belonged to the Frisian nobility, and in 1814 they were also accepted into the new Dutch nobility. They received the Jonkheer title of nobility .
