Lyle J. Burbridge
Lyle J. Burbridge (born April 18, 1922 in Seattle , Washington , † January 16, 2006 ) was an American sound engineer .
Life
Burbridge began his career in 1970 with the documentary Elvis - That's the Way It Is about a concert series by Elvis Presley . Two years later he was involved in another Elvis documentary, Elvis on Tour . 1977 he was for Rocky along with Harry W. Tetrick , William McCaughey and Bud Alper for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated.
He subsequently worked on several other major Hollywood productions such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and The Color Purple . In 1985 he retired from the film business.
