Lyudmila Ivanovna Samotyosova

Lyudmila Ivanovna Samotjossowa ( Russian Людмила Ивановна Самотёсова ., English transcription Lyudmila Samotyosova, born Игнатьева - Ignatjewa - Ignatyeva * 26. October 1939 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 , she was eliminated over 200 m in the preliminary run.

Four years later she finished fifth over the same distance at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and came fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the Soviet team.

At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 she was fourth in the 400 m and won bronze with the Soviet team in the 4 x 100 meter relay.

In 1968 she reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Mexico City over 100 m and 200 m. In the 4 x 100 meter relay, she won the bronze medal with the Soviet quartet.

She was once the Soviet champion over 100 m (1968), three times over 200 m (1964, 1967, 1968) and twice over 400 m (1966, 1967). In 1965 she won the national title over 60 m and 300 m in the hall.
