The steam locomotive series MÁV IIIq was a freight train - steam locomotive series of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), which was also procured by the Kaschau-Oderberger Bahn (KsOd).

The IIIq was one of the MÁV series that achieved very high numbers. All machines were supplied by MÁVAG in the period from 1893 to 1907. The compound machines had internal frames and external controls. In order to enable adaptation to the different types of coal and towing loads, variable diameters of the blowpipe inflow openings were attempted. The mechanism turned out to be too complicated, so that it was later exchanged for blowpipes with flaps. The overhanging fire box resulted in a restless run of the machines. Some of the 247 copies were converted to Brotankessel around 1910 .

The locomotives were given the designation IIIq 3141–3387 at MÁV. From 1911 onwards they were classified as 325.001–247.

KsOd also ordered 35 type IIIq vehicles from MÁVAG in Budapest . They were designated as IIIq 251–285. However, the machines delivered from 1899 to 1909 could not provide the services required for transporting ore and coal over the Jablunka Pass . Since up to two leader locomotives of this series had to be driven, the KsOd decided to purchase the VIm series .

When the KsOd was nationalized in 1924, all vehicles came to the ČSD , which gave them the designation 334.301–335 and which they were in use until the 1950s.
