Mário Gentil Silva (born January 1, 1993 ) is a Portuguese Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 63 kilograms.

Silva contested his first international title fights at the European Junior Championships 2007 in Baku and reached the second round in the class up to 51 kilograms. Two years later he was able to advance to the quarter-finals at the Junior European Championships in Trelleborg . Silva won his first international medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore . In the class up to 63 kilograms he made it to the finals and won silver. The following year he played his first adult world championship in Gyeongju , but was eliminated early on by Michael Harvey . At the European Championships in 2012 , Silva reached the semifinals in the class up to 63 kilograms, where he lost again to Harvey, but with winning the bronze medal, he had his greatest success so far in the adult area. At the European Olympic qualification tournament in Kazan , Silva lost the quarter-finals against Hryhorij Hussarov and narrowly missed participation in the 2012 Olympic Games .
