Márta Rudas , nee Antal , (born February 14, 1937 in Debrecen ; † June 6, 2017 ) was a Hungarian athlete who was internationally successful in javelin throwing .

Rudas was ninth at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome and fifth at the 1962 European Athletics Championships in Belgrade. She celebrated her most important international success at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, when she won the silver medal behind the Romanian Mihaela Peneș , leaving behind , among others, world record holder Jelena Gorchakova and defending champion Elvīra Ozoliņa from the Soviet Union.

At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 Rudas finished sixth, at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City the fourth and at the European Athletics Championships in 1971 in Helsinki eighth. In addition, the 1.64 m tall and 66 kg heavy athlete was several times Hungarian champion.

Her husband was the Hungarian national soccer player Ferenc Rudas, who died in February 2016 .
