The Målselva is a river in the province of Troms og Finnmark in Northern Norway . The municipality of Målselv and the Målselvdalen valley are named after him.

The river flows north of Olsborg into the Målselvfjord , a branch of the Malangsfjord . The source rivers Divielva , Tamokelva and Rostaelva unite near the lake Lille Rostavatn to form Målselva. A left tributary is the Barduelva . The catchment area is 6144 km².

The Målselva river passes through the villages of Moen , Bardufoss , Andselv , Øverbygd and Skjold .
