Mónica Bardem

Mónica María Encinas Bardem (born May 4, 1964 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress .

family

Mónica Bardem comes from a well-known Spanish family of actors. Her mother is the actress Pilar Bardem . Mónica's younger brothers are Oscar winner Javier Bardem and actor Carlos . Other family members are the director Juan Antonio Bardem , an uncle of Mónica Bardem, and his son Miguel Bardem .

Life

As a member of a family of filmmakers, Mónica Bardem's career as an actress was an obvious choice. She appeared in some of her relatives' films. For example, in 1992 under the direction of Juan Antonio Bardem in his documentary The young Picasso and in 1995 in Kika at the side of her brother Javier and Aitana Sánchez-Gijón , Josep Maria Flotats and María Barranco . In 1996, the actress took on a supporting role for her cousin Miguel Bardem in his first feature film, Más que amor, frenesí .

She is also the cook and owner of the tapas restaurant “La Bardemcilla” in Chueca . The dishes on offer were named after the films of the family members.
