Mößling is a parish village and a former municipality in the town of Mühldorf a.Inn in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn .

history

The first documentary mention of the place comes from March 9th, 891, when King Arnulf of Carinthia gave Archbishop Dietmar of Salzburg a farm in "Messelingen". The Catholic parish church Mariae Himmelfahrt is a single nave nave with a choir of the same width and a west tower. It dates from the 15th century, structural changes were made in 1725, 1751 and 1767/68. The community Mößling was founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict. It included the districts of Obermößling, Untermößling, Hart, Eßbaum and Stegmühle. In the course of the municipal reform , Mößling joined the city of Mühldorf on January 1, 1972.
