The Mönchteich is a body of water in Röbel / Müritz in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It has a size of 4.2 hectares and is 62.4 m above sea level. NHN . The maximum size of the monk pond is 250 meters by 240 meters. Inflows are ditches from the surrounding area, outflow is a ditch into the Müritz 270 meters away at the port of Röbel / Müritz.
The Mönchteich is located between the old town of Röbel and the Gildekamp district. On the southern bank there is a small park with a monument to the victims of fascism. The town's Dutch windmill is also located by the pond. It is reminiscent of the Dominican monastery that existed nearby from 1298 to the 16th century.
