The Mülibach , called Steinbach in the upper reaches of the municipality of Winterthur and Chrebsbach at the source in Brütten , is a 7.5 kilometer long right tributary of the Töss .

The source of the Mülibach, initially called Chrebsbach, is 250 meters northeast of the Eichhölzli farm in Brütten at an altitude of 575  m above sea level. M. on the edge of the Chomberg . From there the stream runs northwards and after 750 meters it reaches the Winterthur city limits, from where it is called Steinbach. Further north, it flows down a ravine into the valley and reaches it after a good 2 km. Once there, the Steinbach flows past the Vorderfurt farm and the hamlet of Weiertal, north-west towards Rumstal . Four kilometers after the source, it leaves the area of ​​the extensive Winterthur district of Neuburg and flows to the confluence with Pfungemer municipality area, flowing through the village itself and also crossing the local swimming pool. The Mülibach flows into the Neupfungen industrial area at 379  m above sea level. M. in the Töss.

Catchment area

The entire catchment area of ​​the Mülibach covers around 10 square kilometers and is largely located in the municipal areas of Pfungen, Winterthur and Brütten, on the edge also on that of Oberembrach , from which a few tributaries reach the Mülibach. The highest point of the catchment area is the 644 meter high summit of the Chomberg.
