Mürtüz Yolcu

Mürtüz Yolcu (* 1961 in Iğdır , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish actor and founder of the theater festival.

He co-founded the Diyalog TheaterFest and has been the festival's artistic director ever since. From 1979 to 1984 belonged to the Turkish ensemble Berliner Darsteller . He then played at the Tiyatrom Theater Berlin and at the Turkish-speaking Berlin Family Theater . Yolcu also had engagements at the Theater der Jugend and Ballhaus Naunynstraße as well as the Münchner Kammerspiele .

The native Turk also played a number of roles in film and television, most recently “Salih” in Evet, I want! (2009). With “Cengiz Korkmaz”, the actor also played an important role in the “video film series with integrated German learning opportunities for Turkish families” Korkmazlar (1988), which was initially distributed on cassettes, but was also shown several times on German television.

He has been on Gute Zeiten since 2010, and can be seen as Birol Özgül in bad times .

Yolcu has lived in Berlin since 1978.
