Sheshi was an ancient Egyptian king ( pharaoh ) of the Second Intermediate Period . The throne name Maa-ib-Re is usually assigned to him, since Sheschi is the most common proper name of a ruler of this time on scarabs and the scarabs with this throne name are in turn the most common of their time. The scarabs were found from Nubia to Palestine . The exact classification of Scheschi causes difficulties and is discussed controversially in research, so some researchers consider him to be identical with one of the Hyksos rulers of the 15th dynasty. Jürgen von Beckerath identifies him as Beon , while William A. Ward identifies him as Iannas , in which Chajan is usually seen.

Darrell D. Baker places him in the 14th Dynasty . Scheschi may have married a Nubian woman named Tati , who is considered the only known queen of this dynasty. Your name is outlined in a cartouche , which is quite unusual for this time. Tati was the mother of King Nehesy , considered close to Sheshi's death coregent was used.
