Band history

Other members included bassist Ray Flippin, keyboardist Rodney Frazier, guitarist Mark Harper and drummer Steve Fuller. Commercial success came with the debut album named after the band . The record rose to number 109 on the American Billboard 200 and number 22 in the R&B charts. The first release, Roses Are Red, climbed to number one on the R&B charts, reached the top 10 of the British singles chart and the top 20 in Germany . A few placements in the R&B charts followed until 1992, including for the singles Stuck (1988, No. 25) and Someone to Love (1990, No. 27), but the formation was unable to repeat the success of Roses Are Red .
