Mac Van Valkenburg

Mac Elwyn Van Valkenburg (born October 5, 1921 in Union, Utah , † March 19, 1997 in Orem , Utah ) was an American electrical engineer .

Van Valkenburg studied electrical engineering at the University of Utah (Bachelor 1943), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Master 1946) and Stanford University (Ph.D. 1952).

He then became a professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign . The " IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Mac Van Valkenburg Award" is named after him.
