Maciej Nalepa (born March 31, 1978 in Tarnów , Poland ) is a Polish football player .
Club career
He played through all youth teams at Stal Rzeszów and in 1996 moved to city rivals Resovia Rzeszów . He then played for several lower class Polish clubs before moving to Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine in 2001 . At his first professional club, he was only a goalkeeper in his second season. However, he lost his regular place after two years to his Ukrainian competitor Bogdan Shust .
In 2005 he moved to Latvia to join the ambitious club FK Venta , which at that time had signed many well-known players such as Oleg Luzhny , Aliaksandr Khatskevich or Ģirts Karlsons . Here he was also the goalkeeper. However, the club went bankrupt in late 2005. So Nalepa returned to Karpaty Lviv in late 2005 . Here he completed only 22 league games in three years and switched to league rivals FK Kharkiv for the 2008/2009 season . After only one season he left the club and played in the 2009/10 season for the Polish first division club Piast Gliwice .
At the end of the season Nalepa left the club from Upper Silesia and moved to Odra Wodzisław . For Odra, he played seven games in the second Polish division in the 2010/2011 season, before retiring completely from the professional field for the 2011/12 season and moving to the lower-class club KS Zaczernie . He now played for the Polish amateur club Piast Tuczempy .
National team
He played a total of twice for the Polish national team. In 2003 a friendly against Kazakhstan (3-0) and in 2004 a friendly against the Faroe Islands (6-0).
