Mack Maine (born July 28, 1982 in New Orleans , Louisiana , real name Jermaine Preyan ) is an American rapper and president of the record company Young Money Entertainment of his longtime friend Lil Wayne .

life and career

Mack Maine grew up in New Orleans. He lived in the same neighborhood as Lil Wayne, whom he met as a child. Since the two were interested in music, they started writing lyrics and tried to record the songs on familiar beats. Lil Wayne's stepfather Birdman signed the two of them to his Cash Money Records label at the age of eleven . As the two got older and were allowed to release real albums, Wayne formed the group Hot Boys with BG, Juvenile and Turk , which Mack Maine later left.

In 2009, Lil Wayne founded the record company and the Young Money Entertainment project with him .
