Career

Mélé Temguia was born on August 1, 1995 in Darmstadt, but came to Canada with his family at a young age , where they settled in Sherbrooke , in the south of the province of Québec , not far from the US border. From here he began his career as a soccer player and was active as an athlete during his school days and finally during his time at the Collège Ahuntsic in Montreal . When he graduated there in 2012, he was already firmly anchored in the youth department of the major league soccer club Montreal Impact and played at the same time for the amateur club Club de Soccer Les Verts de Sherbrooke . His younger brother Gino (* 1998) was subsequently active for the amateur club from Sherbrooke.

Over the next few years he went through various youth teams, where he was part of the US Soccer Development Academy as a player . After almost four years in the offspring of Montreal Impact , Temguia moved to the newly founded FC Montréal , a second professional football team owned by Joey Saputo . In the team, which consists mainly of youth players from Montreal Impact and whose first squad in the club's short history, he made his professional league debut in third-rate United on April 11, 2015 in a 3-0 defeat against Rochester Rhinos Soccer League . He came from the 82nd minute of play for the Swiss- born Canadian John Dinkota on the lawn and was also used in the subsequent league games, where he was particularly noticeable due to his toughness. This was shown by four yellow cards in the following five games, which he played until May 2015.

In the further course of the 2015 season , Mélé Temguia was repeatedly used as a regular in the defensive line of his team and made 18 league appearances in which he himself remained goalless by the end of the season, when the team was tenth of a total of twelve places in the Eastern Conference . Temguia is also part of the Canadian third division franchise for the 2016 game year .
