Juvenile
Juvenile (born March 25, 1975 in New Orleans , Louisiana ; real name Terius Gray ) is an American rapper .
biography
Gray began to be interested in rap and hip-hop when he was 10. He has been writing and rapping his own lyrics since he was twelve and founded the group UTP with friends, including Young Buck . Unsuccessful with the grouping, Gray keeps afloat doing odd jobs and switching between jobs and freestyle events .
When he got to know the owners of the Cash Money Records label , he received a contract and released his debut “Solja Rags”, which was a success with 200,000 records sold in Dirty South alone.
In 1998 he released the album "400 Degreez", the single "Back That Azz Up". Due to the successes, he received various nominations and awards. With the following releases "Tha G-Code" (1999), "Project English" (2001) and "Playaz of da Game" (2002) he could not build on the success of the first two albums. In 2002 "Juvenile presents UTP: The Compilation" was released. At the end of 2003 he reported back with another solo album "Juve the Great".
In mid-2005 Juvenile left the Cash Money Records label and later signed his UTP Records label with Atlantic Records and released the album Reality Check in 2006 , which rose to number 1 on the Billboard charts. On this album he processed, among other things, the loss of his property due to Hurricane Katrina in his hometown of New Orleans .
On February 29, 2008, Juvenile's daughter, Jelani, who was four years old at the time, was murdered. The rapper did not attend the girl's funeral.
