Shawty Lo (* 31 March 1976 in Atlanta , Georgia as Carlos Walker , † 21st September 2016 ) was an American rapper .

Life

Carlos grew up in Atlanta and became known in the USA as a member of the group D4L , with whom he even reached number 1 in the singles charts in January 2006 with the single Laffy Taffy . Outside of the US, he was best known in 2008 for his beef with rapper TI . In February 2008 his solo debut album Units in the City was released , his second album Carlos should be released in 2009.

death

In the early morning of September 21, 2016, Shawty Lo died in a car accident in Fulton County , Georgia . At around 2:20 a.m., his car broke through a guardrail, collided with two trees, and caught fire. He died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.

In 2017 another album was released posthumously with RICO .
