Made Flesh is the second studio album by Extra Life . It was released on March 30, 2010 on the LOAF label.

History of origin

After Charlie Looker had almost replaced the entire line-up after the release of the debut album "Secular Works" in 2008, the preparations for "Made Flesh" began. Drummer Ian Antonio only attended the recordings as a guest percussionist, while bassist Anthony Gedrich was the only permanent member of the band besides Charlie Looker.

Style and reception

"Made Flesh" is arranged as a concept album on the subject of body cult. Extra Life developed the style of the debut album on it; Charlie Looker's formative singing , based on Renaissance music, forms a contrast to the melodies that can be classified between folk rock and RIO , which sometimes slide into avant-garde experimental music.

Like “Secular Works”, “Made Flesh” was received largely positively by the critics; The album got 4.5 out of 5 possible points on Sputnikmusic.com, 12.33 out of 15 possible points on the Babyblauen Seiten and was named “Tip of the Month” in September 2010.
